Spawn non-blocking

It would be great if we could exec a process and continue without waiting for completion. Something like Ant's exec spawn=true behavior. I'm currently using https://github.com/bazaarvoice/maven-process-plugin to achieve this

Actually I need it so urgently I'm going to implement it myself and raise a PR.

Is there any plan to address this enhancement in near future? Is there any work around?

@arnabbiswas1 as you will see from preceding comments I have implemented it and I have submitted a Pull Request to get the changes integrated. We now seem to be stalled in the review process. @khmarbaise has asked me to 'squash' the numerous commits and I have spent much time trying to do so, but without success. I'm not sure what happens next...

Thanks a lot for your reply! I was confused with the change set. Based on the commit history, I thought that the changes have been reverted back. And hence I posted this question.

@khmarbaise Could you please let us know the plan? May be this is a feature which lot of folks are waiting for. :-) At least if you could let us know the target date for 1.5 release, I can decide whether to wait for the official build or I should do it myself. Hope I am able to explain you.
