Is this Project now dead ? Is this being actively maintained ?

It's a pity that the project is not maintained. It provides a lot of very useful features, it's quite mature, and I find other alternatives far behind it. It would be a shame to lose all this. I assume there is no way to become a maintainer without @jamesdbloom consent. But he seems to be unresponsive. Therefore I wonder if it would be an option to fork the project and continue its life that way. It's under Apache-2.0 license, so it should be possible. But I am not sure about all the legal obligations one would need to adhere to.
Any ideas how to continue?
We also determined that this project is likely abandoned around 8 months ago, searched for alternatives and then decided to ultimately fork it: https://github.com/xdev-software/mockserver-neolight
Note that our fork is not 100% compatible as we removed some functionality to keep the maintenance complexity low.
