RFC: Package/Binary naimng

Since I'm packaging this for Fedora I would like to get opinion on naming.. Since parallel name is taken by GNU parallel, I am thinking how to name package and whether to rename binary.

  • rust-parallel
  • parallel-rust
  • parallel-rs

Thoughts?

I think it would likely depend on the naming policies for packages on Fedora. I currently maintain the aur package[1] for Arch Linux and have decided on going with the parallel-rust package name. I do not rename the binary and have the package conflict with GNU Parallel as it is mostly a drop in replacement.

I think parallel-rust / parallel-rs are fine.
