Export as Snippet Problem

I am using Visual Studio 2015 and when I right click and select "Export as Snippet" I get the Add New Item dialog window with the list of default items like HTML Page, JavaScript File, etc.

Is there supposed to a preformatted snippet file in the list? How is this supposed to work? Is there a link to any instructions?

Are you doing this from a web project? There is a known issue a specific web project type

I have installed Snippet Designer and it was working but now it hangs on opening and when i try to export following the link above I do not have code snippet as an option when I search for snippet? Any ideas as to what I should do now? VS2015 Pro Windows 10 Enterprise
