Make mouse-down select a cell to be the active cell

Currently mouse-up selects a cell to be the active cell. It would be nice if the mouse-down made the cell the active cell. This would make it work the same as google docs, excel, and libre office.

If that's not feasible, a decent workaround would be to set the active cell when a cell selection drag is completed.

The active cell is set on mouse click, not on mouse up. This would break existing code that relies on being able to intercept onclick and override the default behavior, but it's worth investigating. It does improve perceived performance and could help solve the issue of losing click events when the data is frequently changed.

Also, this would allow autoEdit to be true and still use a selection model, correct?

This would be very nice! Both Microsoft Excel and Apple Numbers select cells on mouse down.
