YT videos don't play with this plugin installed

Hello,

I installed it as instructed and now any video doesn't play. Moreover, adding dkjson hasn't helped either. VLC 3.0.12 on macOS 10.7. Are you sure no other configurations needed? I run a proxy. Do I need to specifically set it to send all the traffic through it?

I'm sorry I don't own a mac nor know how the proxy settings there work. If you're able to open network urls in VLC the plugin should also work.

I'm using VLC 3.0.7.1 on Windows 7.

I can open network urls, :smiley: but when I copy youtube-dl.lua to the playlist folder, youtube links don't work anymore. :frowning_face:

A youtube-dl is on my system and I know its path, but I'm not sure, what $PATH on windows does mean.:confused: It might be that vlc does not find the path of youtube-dl? :thinking: Do I neet to specify the path of youtube-dl for vlc or youtube-dl.lua? Where can this be done?

I have added the path of youtube-dl to the path in Windows environment variables and I have used the current youtube.lua (03 Apr 2021).

It's still the same behaviour.

@Vingolf can you try the most recent commit? It sets the locale to C to fix some problems with dkjson.
