Website homepage lacks x-padding at some viewport widths

Describe the bug On the homepage the main body and footer don't have x-padding on all viewport widths, particularly near the breakpoint between the mobile and desktop styles.

To Reproduce Reduce the viewport window to just above the mobile breakpoint on a desktop window; observe the lack of x-padding on the left and right.

Expected behavior There should be minimal padding to avoid content running up against the edge of the window.
