I am seeing this as well. If you connect to the Codespace from VSCode Desktop then the problem goes away so this seems Codespace specific.

@sebastienros did you ever get to the bottom of this or were you able to use Docker to repro it?

I'm not super enthused about this API myself. Seems to me the root of the issue is passing environment variables into mobile apps when you launch them. Android for example...

Why not just set a TCS in the update state callback and then put a wait timeout on that.

@davidfowl we need to make it so that the callback is async I think.

Moved this to backlog. We should make the case for pulling it in to 8.2. My thinking here is that right now people can do things like leverage the config...

Wouldn't you still want to be able to control some things about the container app itself?

We definitely don't want to see the Blazor UX freeze up, nor do we want the backend of the dashboard or the apphost to eat a lot of resources just...
