I really liked this super simple and short series on Markov Chains for the PageRank paper. This YouTube creator uses the same library as 3Blue1Brown to make their videos - really nice visualizations.

I'll vouch for the video as well. It's a good intermediary between the Matt Cutts video I mentioned in class about web search more broadly and actually getting into the math in the paper.
