Developers should be able to leverage the functionality provided on by the Azure Identity Library to authenticate their applications allowing them to:

  • Use identity-based authentication
  • Choose a system with cross-platform support
  • Centralize all identity systems
  • Use passwordless authentication
  • Use modern password protection
  • Enable conditional access
