Feature request for creating a new Dev Container based on the .devcontainer in a Dev Volume

Open ZEKE320 opened this issue 1 year ago • 3 comments

Type: Feature Request

While there is a feature that allows for cloning a repository to Dev Volume and simultaneously creating a new Dev Container based on the .devcontainer within the repository, it appears that once that container is deleted, there is currently no simple method provided by the extension to create a container from Dev Volume. Would it be possible to add a feature to create a Dev Container based on the .devcontainer in the Volume, similar to what has already been implemented with the Recovery Container?

Extension version: 0.327.0 VS Code version: Code 1.85.1 (0ee08df0cf4527e40edc9aa28f4b5bd38bbff2b2, 2023-12-13T09:49:37.021Z) OS version: Windows_NT x64 10.0.22631 Modes: Remote OS version: Linux x64 5.15.133.1-microsoft-standard-WSL2
