Project status

There are many interesting pull requests on this project, however there is no activity on the master branch for 3 years.

So I would like to know the status of this project. Does it need a maintainer?

I'm curious about this as well, I was just looking at using it with ESP8266 but there is no current progress.

Since nobody has even bothered to answer this question for more than half a year, my feeling is that this project can be considered orphaned. I suggest trying to find a volunteer maintainer, and at least get a semi-official fork working. After that we can to reach out to the previous maintainers requesting write access to this repo. So, any volunteers?

The webrepl did get mentioned very briefly / in passing at the most recent Melbourne Meetup, in the context of the async repl work going on if I remember correctly. Might be worth asking via the org Discussions, or in Discord, to see if there’s any more current information.
