To add up on this... it looks like it gets slower on every line change. It starts out relatively ok, but slows down more and more. Update: Outcommenting drawRect does...

Any update on this? Even on my brand new MacPro 2013 (6 cores), backlight makes an already slow Xcode 7 unbearably sluggish while typing and scrolling.
