Any updates on this project?

This project seems to be a very interesting project! But the last commit was 5 years ago, will there be any updates?

Thank you for asking. I'm afraid I don't use Python any more and have no plans to continue this project. I'm very happy for it to be forked or to open it up to other contributors or maintainers. Whilst I think it has a lot of promise, I didn't really take it far beyond a proof of concept phase.

There is a similar project from Dropbox which pre-dates my work: https://github.com/dropbox/pyxl Though I feel like there was something I didn't love about it but I forget. It has certainly had a lot more work than mine!

I could archive this project if that would make the status clearer. I'm not used to archiving projects but maybe that is something I should do more.

One more question, pypegs2 seems to be a gpl licensed software, does that mean this project is also affected by gpl?

Gosh, yeah, I think you're absolutely right. When I get a chance I'll change the license over. That is very negligent of me. Thank you for raising it.

I've switched to GPL V2 to match pypeg2. Thanks so much for raising that. I'm embarrassed to have not been more diligent.

I will be archiving this repository shortly. I think it is a cool idea but I'm not invested in Python at this time and so I don't see myself returning to working on this.
