I'm not against it, too. If someone implements it, I happy to merge it.
It was correct at that time but is wrong now. The standard microphone redirection (not proprietary) is already implemented now.
This might be related to neutrinolabs/xrdp#1265. FreeBSD had PulseAudio 12 (and now has 13).

pulseaudio-module-xrdp requires PulseAudio source to build. Distro packages usually provides only source.
