Replace smart object/ layer

Hi. I was wondering if, by any chance, smart object or some layer is replaceable using psd.js and then possibly export the output as a .png or .jpg. Thanks!

I am wondering too. In photoshop you can open PSD mockup and find there smart object. Then you double click that smart object, open in new window, replace image, save it and you get mockup with updated image. Is it possible to replace image in smart object using PSD.js and export that image?

@MgenGlder I am sorry for the confusion. I meant to ask what @osadasami wrote here.

What I wanted to ask was if psd.js is capable of re-creating a .psd file, but I now I guess it just keeps the modified information on layers/objects. It actually needs a software like an Adobe PhotoShop that can use those information to create images/layers based on some information.

Am I correct?
