@jauyong I have used unDraw illustrations (https://undraw.co/) and adapted them to fit the style of illustrations on material.io Guidelines (example below).
We can also consider creating custom illustrations and there will not be any legal concerns. I'm able to provide illustrations that will look exactly like the illustrations used on material.io and are easy to replicate (example below).
Images were used from Unsplash and they come from one author (https://unsplash.com/@pawel_czerwinski).
@rodydavis to follow up internally for image placeholders to use in the various patterns
@dawidmlynarz to also find some placeholders in the mean time. Please time box this effort as we may use images after Rody gets back to us.
