Set to N/A as per David's suggestion and considering resource loading. Certainly willing to revisit, but it seems this is a nice-to-have for 8 at this point

Sure thing. SSL was a SHOULD in Justin's original requirements. We have not ensured it's implemented anywhere... since it introduced key signing it's kind of busy work.

SSL between browser and app is more important than SSL between middle tier and MarkLogic, so this should probably be priorized below what, OR just be set to N/A. It's a good thing to demo as far as management API is concerned, and if set up should not affect the app, but it seems wrong to have it in the 8.0-2 timeframe regardless.
