  • Unity version: 2019.4.17f1
  • Mapbox SDK version: Mapbox Unity SDK 2.1.1
  • The platform you're building to: Android
  • A description of what you're trying to do:

Hey Guys, I was developing an AR App in Unity which was working fine a few weeks ago. But now the app wants me to update my ARCore - which I have done - just to tell me that I need an update. Also my Android is up to date.

I have found out that Google has stopped support for 32bit apps on 64bit devices - which may be the issue. I tried to update the ARCore to a newer version but failed on my first attempt (it wanted me to build with gradle which i have never used before).

Q:

  • Am I right with me assumptions? If so, is there any plans to update this repo to a newer ARCore version?
  • Where can I find out what version of ARCore you are using? I remember a changelog with the ARCore versions, but could not find it in your changelog. So it might be another SDK and I mixed it up with this one.

hey @brian2k, as you noted AR solutions in the SDK is outdated and pretty broken. There probably will not be a fix in short term so at this point all I can do is suggest going for custom/own solutions rather than the ones in SDK. I'm sorry :(
