It does work with angular 1.5.8.

Which ui-router are you using? Please note $stateChangeSuccess is deprecated on ui-router 1.0. However angular-ui-router-styles is using $stateChangeSuccess. So you will need to include stateEvents.js in your Angular app to keep using $stateChangeSuccess. See here for more detail:

@zhaocnus my ui-router version is 0.3.2 and I update to version 1.0.0 is still fail

bower say: bower ECONFLICT Unable to find suitable version for angular-ui-router
