FWIW following steps worked for me 1. Delete my org file mentioned in `org-gcal-file-alist` 2. touch the file 3. Run org-gcal-sync

Thanks for reporting, I use desktop save mode as well. Can't reproduce. I suspect it's related to your elfeed-dashboard.org file. Would you be able to share it?

That's a good idea. TBH, I haven't had the need to use any of those functions yet. db compact seems straightforward with: `#+KEYMAP: C | elfeed-db-compact` As for deletion perhaps...

The turnaround works just fine. :)
