Unable to connect to AwS IoT Core with blinking app

Open sarsher81 opened this issue 1 year ago • 0 comments

Hello, I am going through the hello world blinky for the 2nd time. 1st time i was successful in connecting and sending MQTT messages without issues. since I had to re-attempt connection and after re-installing python, deleting thing, certificate, policy and re-provisioning device successful, now that I want to run and send the messages again, I get this error.

MAIN: Connecting to AWS IoT Core at a2eerfjwy2of99-ats.iot.us-west-2.amazonaws.com:8883 aws_iot: Attempting to use device certificate from ATECC608 aws_iot: failed! mbedtls_ssl_handshake returned -0x7780

apologies if this is not the right place to post this but the discussion link was invalid.

a point to note, in between the first time it ran successfully and the failed second attempt, I tried to connect edukit via Arduino IDE to AWS which also failed. Not sure if this overrides the ATECC608 certificate since I had to go the other way by creating a certificate on IoT core and downloading to edukit.
any help is greatly appreciated to troubleshoot this.
