Timezone capabilty pls
i absolutely love the app and it has everything i want.. except the capability of adapting to timezones. I'd love if i could select the timezone of the birthday person and it would send me notification accordingly. google calendar allows an event to be scheduled as per customisable timezones so maybe something like that? If you would be so kind to do that Id love it even more. Thanks for devoting your time to this app. cheers
Hi there and thanks for the advice. I've never felt this need because i only know people in my own timezone, but it could be useful in some cases. The easiest thing could be to select a timezone and apply a delay (or advance) on the "base" notification time. It's certainly an advanced feature and it might cause bugs eventually, but i'll add it to de todo list, thanks for suggesting it 👍
Hey! Thanks for responding, I was not sure if you would. I really appreciate your app and all the work you have done on it. Your app solves the embarrassingly simple problem that for some reason, no other app does as nicely. So, in the future, if there ever arises the time when you cant work on the app anymore, would it need to be self-hosted or will it just keep working just with the lack of fixes/updates? Im a noobie on this stuff.

Don't worry, Birday works offline and is open source, so it will always work, even if I stop updating it 😄
