Feature request/idea: Taskbar / Pager functionality

It would be nice of the taskbar applet could incorporate some pager like behaviour:

When enabling 'only show windows of workspace N':

• Add option to show desktop name
• Highlight the taskbar when it's workspace is active
• Add option to make empty areas of the taskbar clickable to switch workspaces.

Here is an exemplary picture running tint2 using two workspaces, showing the desired result.

Look into the taskbar configuration. You can add any number of taskbar plugins and configure each to show only applications of particular desktop.

I saw that, but this way the name of the desktop isn't attached, so one doesn't know which desktop is shown (might somehow work with two, but f.e. I have six), and one can't change the desktop by simply clicking the bar.
