About the definition of anomaly score.

In the paper, the anomaly score is defined as ||φ(x; θ)||^2, however, in the code, it is computed by 1 - exp(-||φ(x; θ)||^2) when the objective is HSC. Is it a mistake or there are some details not included in the paper? Which one is right?
