Lucas Chess R 2.20c version R 2.20c Ubuntu 24.04.3 LTS python --version Python 3.12.3

When pasting a pgn into Opening Lines, the line gets truncated to the 15th move. Then when entering the missing moves, the comments for the moves (magically) appear in the comment box. Thinking it was a formatting issues, I tested and pasted pgn into a lcdb and that worked fine. I then copied the pgn from the lcdb and pasted again but got the same result. Below is the pgn I was using.

[Event "?"] [Site "?"] [Date "2025.09.10"] [Round "?"] [White "Sicilian Najdorf:"] [Black "6 Be2"] [Result "*"] [ECO "B92"] [Annotator "karls"] [WhiteFideId "-1"] [GameId "2220576151399163"] [Opening "Sicilian Defence: Najdorf Variation, Opocensky Variation, Traditional Line"] [PlyCount "34"]

It is certainly understandable as it attacks the backward d-pawn. However, this is not a good move, according to the engines and gives the advantage to Black.} b5 {The queenside minority attack typical in the Najdorf.}{If Pilnik's Rd1 was bad, this is even worse! Black now has a significant advantage.} 13.Rd2 Nb6 14.Qf2 {As Bobby commented, Pilnik should have taken off the knight at the first opportunity. However, Fischer did not take advantage. In this line however, we will.} Na4 ! 15.Nxa4 bxa4 16.Nc1 {Black must exploit his advantage in the center and remove the backward d6 pawn.} d5 $8 17.exd5 Nxd5 {Black is clearly better. His center pieces are dominating.}

What value have you indicated for Depth? Keep in mind that it refers to movements (half moves) no moves, if Depth = 30, it goes up to move 15.

Okay, I have not used that feature and did not know about depth. When pasting a PGN there is nothing about depth. Is there any way to set the depth other than in that dialogue? If so, I don't know where it is. However, after importing a file and setting the depth, I am able to paste the pgn and see all the moves. Thank you.

Ok. I have changed the default values, so that it is 999, and not 30 as it was and that has been the cause of this problem.
