It may be interesting to automatically download the user's defined language subtitles based on an open API.

Also minimal is king - a user needs just search + play (and automatic addition of subtitles usually).

I'll look into that. Could be done with opensubtitles.org, I think there's a few node modules that can download subtitles from their API.
