Finetuned Model Fails to Respond to Generic Questions

I have recently finetuned a model which is performing well overall. However, I have noticed that when I ask it generic questions such as "Hello, how are you?" it fails to provide an appropriate response. Instead, it seems to rely solely on the information provided in the finetuned structured sample.json file. I am wondering if there is something I am doing incorrectly in this regard.
