Chat does not work on iPhone simulator

Describe the bug

1. I have a room with another client sending chat messages
2. Open Swift App in iPhone simulator
3. open chat window
4. I don't see any of the chat messages from other client
5. if I send a chat message from Swift App, I do not see this message in the other client's chat

Note: audio works fine, just not chat.

SDK Version I built this from latest master branch

iOS/macOS Version macOS Monterey 12.7.5

Xcode Version XCode 14.2 (Please provide the Swift version if you know it)

Expected behavior

remote chat should be displayed and local chat should display on other clients
