Add buttons to the top/bottom of the ruler that let you quickly move the ruler by 1 screen size. Ex. screen is 5 inches, ruler is 0 - 5. Click button at bottom, now ruler is 5 - 10. Add a reset button as well. Don't let the user go negative.

Allows for measuring larger objects without needing to do the math in your head.
