Images "snap" when viewing and acrolling

The UI below the image doesn't appear nicely like a drawer and instead it causes the image to jolt around the screen. It doesn't feel good to use and is kind of nauseating.

If the image didn't drag when you tried swiping I think that would be an improvement. I view this screen like a web page; the image is just before the details container and you scroll the page by swiping. It feels natural to swipe and have the details appear like a drawer.
