Issue with ScratchX Arduino plugin

Hello all, I am new to ScratchX and am trying to use the Arduino plugin to connect to Arduino. However, the plugin is not installing like usual on a Mac and after attempted manual installation is not being recognized by Firefox. Has anyone else had trouble with this for more recent versions of Firefox? Thanks in advance!
