autospeed-spause option does not work in autospeed

When I try to set autospeed-spause, it doesn't seem to ever work. True or false result in the same outcome, and setting an integer value results in this error:

[autospeed] Command subprocess: argument args has incompatible type.

So, the video starts playing as usual, without waiting.
