Describe the feature you're interested in

This concerns the search input inside of the messages tab after selecting a topic.

I think I'd be interesting if the result table didn't automatically refresh once we hit the "x" button to cancel a search. The button should just clean the field like it happens in other websites.

The user can manually refresh with the refresh button if that's what they need. Sometimes it can take a while to load the intended results so it can be frustrating if the table surprisingly refreshes.

Describe alternatives you've considered

Github search for example doesn't refresh search results if you press the "x" button in the search tab. It just cleans the input to make it easier for the user to start a new search.
