Hi, could you elaborate on why would we want to do that? There are dozens of base images out there in the wild
Further user feedback is requested. Please reply within 7 days or we might close the issue.
Hello!
I wasn't sure if the community here would also benefit from an additional release under UBI. However, my organization has a FIPS 140-2 requirement which requires us to have the base image as an UBI image due to it being compliant. I figured I'd ask to see if we can get the image released under the actual repository here rather than have my own release under a fork of this repository
Thanks for the additional feedback! We'll get back to your issue soon.
@NinaLee96
As FIPS is pretty much specific, I doubt the benefits of implementing this outweigh the overhead of publishing one more image.
Generally, there are many "our base image is superior, please use it" base images out there and it's virtually impossible to support them all. Our bandwidth is limited as the development is done in the spare time of our team members. However, we could consider implementing this if your organization is willing to sponsor this issue :)
