after the exploit is performed the server is not impacted and only the players who "loaded" (were supposed to receive a packet containing data about) the item (having the item in their inventory, being close to someone holding it) were disconnected from the server.

I would classify that as a kick exploit.

A more targeted version is possible by the use of /minecraft:item replace making it so the item is never in the player's hand and so only "loaded" by them.
