AFAIK JVM generally does not let you do that. The way around would be to use own class loader.

Compilers do not care about the timestamps. For other tool (like ninja) I don't believe it analyzes whether one passes -I/path/to/headers or -isystem /path/to/headers...

Yep, it's not enough to make the source available. As it is, nobody can actually use this project.
