Extremely slow rendering R kernel & no function upon rendering

Hello,

I have been using Jupyter Notebook to run an R kernel for DESeq2. The notebook was loading and executing code OK until recently. Now, when I try to open the notebook:

1. I get a blank cell and the bottom left corner shows
2. The screen then turns all gray.
3. 15-20 minutes later, if I am lucky, the top of the notebook begins to load, but I can not scroll down and the cells are not clickable. Text "Processing Math 100%" appears.

Do you have any ideas for resolving this?
