layer not showing, while map does show

https://ipyleaflet.readthedocs.io/en/latest/layers/marker.html -- when trying this in jupyterlab, map shows, layer does not.

What version of ipyleaflet are you running?

I tried the code you referenced and it worked fine for me inside jupyterlab and jupyter notebook.

I however cannot see the layer when I save the file to html and try to open it in a browser.

This problem started happening in the last week or two.
