I think it should be implemented in the REST API instead. Maybe it's already working, it should be tested.

It is now supported by the REST API: 8f9cbe342, see [the documentation](https://github.com/vatesfr/xen-orchestra/blob/master/packages/xo-server/docs/rest-api.md#vdi-import). Use this instead of `xo-cli`.

I took a look today and it's definitely not easy to do with current architecture (which is based on `react-intl`).
