Not sure there's a way to do this without some real magic. `contains` above returns a DataFrame and the inversion is on the DataFrame.

Updated this to go ahead and use a return class to make #9242 easier to handle.
If you care about doing things like causal inference and hypothesis testing with the results, then statsmodels.
