Most everything seems to be OK with the name change but the js tests need to be changed still. A timeline for transitioning would be good to hash out here

I rewrote the js test harnesses and such just now so I'm confident i could rename stuff now

Ok further complexity... it works on a fresh project so I think there's a type mismatch with the recommended settings versus the default

is there anything else that'd be benefited over that one field?
