I have an issue on my fork exploring how this might be done *properly and securely*.... it's not super difficult if someone wanted to implement it and test it out......
What evdev binary? I have no such binary. Isn't this something installing the evdev pip should handle?

I tried this approach but couldn't get it to work either, I think (if you're in X) you really need to be setting the X keyboard rate, not the lower-level...

Don't feel you have to change every little thing I point out... I'm probably going to start with 0.4.0 as-is, pull over as much of your work as seems reasonable...
