missalginment between ROI settings and Overview
The Problem
Just updated to latest version 15.7.0 and have a misalignment between the pictures.
If I set the reference image -> and reboot and set the ROIs properly and reboot it looks like this:
nice and proper. but if I look on the overview page, the blue squares are offset und the reading is giving strange values as well:
Tried to start from scratch again with new reference image, new markers, reposition ROIs but still the same.

The problem seems to be the alignment marks. The contrast is not good enough. So sometimes the SW "finds" the Alignment marks and sometimes not. Example of a good contrast:

I have the same problem since the 15.7 update. I tried many times to create a new reference image and new alignment markers but the system does not save the changes. I think it is a big fat bug in the last version.
I can only partially confirm this. For me, it's about 2 pixels in size with ROI Analog.

Would be awesome, to make it configurable if the SW shall use the markers for alignment or not. Like automatic or manual. Would be a huge improvement in my opinion.

Hi, It is off, but it behaves still like in OPs opening post. In the reference picture its okay in the overview misaligned, therefor it does not read the value properly

If it is set to off, the rotation will continue to occur and the alignment marks will no longer be displayed in the image.

Yes, first I press save and then reboot to activate changes. Lets wait what happen, maybe I reconfigure everything and start from scratch with the rolling fw.

Was trying a lot of different parts of the photo for the alignment markers (m², T50, U0-D0), etc.) but nothing solved the problem. Also new reference images were not helpful for this issue. Before updating from 15.3 to 15.7, there was no problem.

Thanks for the links. Honestly speaking, reflections could be a problem for the digitalization of the value, but after my point of view it's not the solution for the missalignment between the reference picture and the overview. With the same settings and a downgrade to 3.6.0 everything works fine - also with the reflections (which are no avoided in a further step with more brightness of the LED ring).
Many camera settings were added to version 15.7, which means the image quality differs compared to version 15.3. What worked with the standard settings in version 15.3 does not necessarily work with version 15.7. You could play around with the camera settings and compensate your problems, or do it right. The worse the image quality, the harder the ESP has to work and the reliability also decreases. The better the preparatory work, the better the result and this applies to many things in life. The reference image is irrelevant, it only serves as an aid for aligning the ROIs and Alignment marks. The ROIs are saved as coordinates(x, y, dx and dy) and the alignment marks as images. First an image is taken, then the image is rotated by the "Rotation angle" value and then the alignment marks images are used for finer alignment. If you do everything sensibly, the ESP needs around 25 to 30 seconds for an evaluation and if the preparatory work is inadequate, around 50 to 60 seconds.
With another ESP on another meter with the same problems I upgraded to the rolling version you mentioned before.
What is sturggeling me is, that the refernce image don't show the acutal paramenters that are set for taking the reference picture.
Please have a look on the following screenshots (and yes, i know about the relefections issue because until now I'm using the integrated LED). I made a reference Image with a LED intensity with 5:

Even if the reference image is irrelevant, is helps to find the right settings for taking the picture. Between the two different settings the brightness must be different - also in the reference picture...
Could it be that there is a problem? If not, what am I doing wrong?
What have you set for "CamGainceiling", if the value is set to x2, you will hardly notice any change when changing the LED intensity. Many of the camera settings are interdependent or if certain settings are activated, others are ignored.
