I'm using Vivaldi browser, and it for some reason doesn't show the ON text above the extension icon, so it's very hard to know if the extension is enabled or not.

I see that help popup text on extension changes, but it's very inconvenient to use and it's inconsistent with the actual state of the extension:

• Disable automatic gain control if the extension doesn't have access to current site [=AGC on]
• Disable automatic gain control if the extension is enabled [=AGC off]
• Enable automatic gain control if the extension is disabled [=AGC on]

It seems like text for enabled and disabled states is reversed: Disable automatic gain control suggests that clicking on button will disable AGC, while in reality it enables it. Or the text should be Automatic gain control is disabled to indicate the current state.

It would be very convenient if I could click on the extension and see the current state of the extension to avoid many unnecessary page reloads.

I'm seeing this with Chrome Version 99.0.4844.51 (Official Build) (arm64) as well. The "On" badge never displays so I never know if it's on or off. I'm also just generally seeing it no longer work with this version of Chrome after it worked for me for the last couple of months.
