Idea: Addition of Next on Stream module to scoreboard widget
This is more of a nice to see feature addition over currently needed.
Considering we already implement the same technology between the scoreboard widget and commentary widget, it should be looked into adding a scoreboard sub-module for setting who will show up next on stream with a slimmed down score sub-module. All it would need is the players per team, the team widgets and maybe the load set button for pulling it from Smash.gg for the functionality.
This would add the ability to make a stream facing "Up Next" display as if people are viewing a major or higher end event and would be a nice tool that I'm sure most users would take advantage of.
Quoted from discussion with Shino: "Regarding showing next matches, maybe we could add something to the main scoreboard where you can pick a set from the set list (maybe as a upgrade to the set selector to allow some sort of ordering?) and also get it automatically from the stream queue."
This would be a good idea, however, I'm debating whether this should exist on the main score sub-widget for the main scoreboard widget, or do it like the Stage sub-widget and just copy functionality to keep it separate and easier to maintain.
Other option for this would be creating an intermission tab. There, we could have:
- Next match
- Message to display on screen
- Timers
After thinking on it because of Genesis 8, I like the concept of an intermission tab to be introduced in TSH. I wanna build on the upgrade path as originally mentioned by Shino, because Genesis featured this during their intermission:
It has the results of the previous match-up with who is up next on stream, which might be a good blend of information to have to display on stream. Hopefully within the next couple weeks I can make a mockup to use as a base to start a feature PR for an implementation.
Somewhat related to Feature Request #241 IMO
