Scrobble to Lastfm and ListenBrainz only works when track is done playing

When playing music through Jellyfin, music will scrobble and be marked as 'listened' within Lastfm and ListenBrainz. However, when playing through FinAmp the song will only be marked as played if you listen to the entire duration of the track.

Do you use the Jellyfin Lastfm/Listenbrainz plugin, or do you scrobble with a third-party app?

I am using the plugins with Jellyfin. Are there alternative apps that I can try?

@ravtakhar this is expected I think Jellyfin automatically marks tracks as played once they're marked as finished.

In which scenario aren't they marked as played in last.fm? When you're manually switching to a different track?

They are not being marked as played using the integration when I have listened to 50%+ of the song and skip. Let's say there are like 20 seconds left in the track.

When using the official jellyfin web client the song is scrobbled when it is skipped after it has surpassed 50% so this is different to the behaviour with Finamp where the song is only scrobbled when the track completely finishes.

Another issue in Finamp I came across is that the Listenbrainz listening status does not get updated reliably if I start playing a song, it only gets updated when I pause and resume the track. With the official web client it works reliably.
