Unable to see if Beam has an active line-in signal.

In the state of my Beam there is no difference between an active or an inactive signal.

Is there any way to signal that?

I'm not sure, I haven't investigated it. I know that there is a way to know if something is connected to an analog line-in, and I assume the same would go for an SPDIF or HDMI ARC connection. If you are using the auto-play feature, I assume the playState would change between PLAYING and STOPPED.
