Parallelize tests

I have no idea how this would work yet, but it would be nice if it were possible to parallelize the test runs. Right now, we assume in many places that tests are strictly serial though. It might require a different kind of output, which would be kinda weird/disappointing.

In any case, it's worth considering eventually.
