Do you find this package useful? Got any cool examples of how you've used it? Let me know by posting a comment here 😁!
I just came across this package through this twitter thread. I haven't used it yet, but it looks fantastic, and definitely solves a problem I've had in the past. I also love that a twitter thread about one topic (issue etiquette) leads to package discovery! That's great in and of itself. If you hadn't added this issue to the package, I wouldn't have known about it!
Hello! Thanks so much @jhelvy for creating this package and @gadenbuie for implementing functionality for complex slides! I recently used the package to create a PDF version of some slides for a conference, and thanks to xaringanBuilder::build_pdf(complex = TRUE) (ref), I was able to print out each slide easily, including some incremental slides and one with panelsets!
@spcanelon you can thank @gadenbuie for the complex slides! He came up with the original solution (see his post), and we integrated it into the package. And again, the original connection was made on Twitter!
Hi @jhelvy I just used xaringanBuilder for the first time to quickly get images of the first slide of all my previous talks so I could include them as preview images on the 'Talks' listing page on my new website https://ellakaye.rbind.io. The package is so straightforward to use and worked like a charm! Did make me realise I need to up my title slide design game, though 😄
Thank you for this package and congrats on CRAN. I've used it a number of times for converting to PDF and I've started to put a gif of my slides into the source's README (e.g. like this one). The name-change was a good idea and the consistent 'sentencey' nature of renderthis::to_*() is helpful. Also I'm glad my {targets} slides were useful for the demo of the handouts on your announcement blog. 😁
Ooooh I am SO HAPPY there is now quarto support! I am going to a conference that requires me to upload ppt slides ☠️☠️☠️ and this just save me. Thank you!!
